Tai Chiappa, PsyD

Clinical Psychologist

I work with individuals across the lifespan: children (2+), adolescents, and adults. My approach to therapy is compassionate and client-focused, and I utilize cognitive-behavioral techniques, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, play therapy, and trauma-informed treatment. I am experienced in treating a number of issues, including anxiety, specific phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder, sleep issues, depression and other mood disorders, behavioral issues, parenting issues, issues within the LGBTQ+ community, ADHD, disordered eating, enuresis and encopresis, suicidality, self-injurious behaviors, substance abuse, trauma, and PTSD.

I earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from William James College (formerly Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology) in Newton, MA in 2014, and received predoctoral training in integrated primary care at the Concord Family Health Center and Riverbend Community Mental Health Center in Concord, NH.  I completed my postdoctoral fellowship at a satellite clinic of the Trauma Center in Brookline, MA, and specialized in treating children and adolescents with developmental trauma. I have worked in a number of different settings, including school, private outpatient clinic, hospital, and community mental health. Most recently, I served as the staff psychologist at a pediatric primary care practice and provided evaluation, consultation, brief treatment, triage and referral guidance services for children, youth, and families.
